My Story

Prior to my own well-being journey, I worked as a manager supporting individuals with schizophrenia and substance misuse issues. I moved from there to a Registered Manager supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties - a career I chose due to my own experiences. 

 

Over four years ago, I started a book club after moving to a new area and finding it difficult to be away from those closest to me. I began my therapy journey and started to explore things that make me truly happy.

I found a passion for self-development, started meditating, and signed up for a great yoga teacher training course. Meeting new people and being a part of something that I am truly interested in has changed the way I view things. It allowed space for exciting opportunities and deeper connections.

 

More recently, I have been learning about myself and what our bodies need to function and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I completed a nutrition qualification and qualified as a nutritional therapist. I have been actively pursuing my continuing professional development, with a particular interest in gut health.

 

I have been practising yoga on and off for many years. Over time, I developed a deep love for yoga's physical aspect before I realised there was so much more to explore. A way of life to enhance not just my physical health but also my mental and emotional health. I have experienced what it can feel like to be an outsider, uncomfortable in class or feel like I do not belong. I am here to welcome all to explore and experience the wonderful tranquillity and transformation that practising yoga can provide.
